Sister Inspiration
My sister Sarah made a very cool fairy for her roommate and rocket for another friend at college. I had to share. Her knitting skills are amazing- I wish I could knit! She has made everything from socks to hats to throw blankets to scarfs and beyond. Please check out her blog! http://fuzzysquare.blogspot.com/

How to Style It!
I have felt so inspired by Rachel Zoe's style and her thigh high boots lately that I wanted to recreate the look. I am obsessed with her show The Rachel Zoe Project and my boyfriend will tell you I can watch the seasons over and over and over again skipping to the parts that I like. I love the idea of wearing a fitted leather jacket, statement necklace, thigh high boots, a simple white t-shirt and jeggings together. I would wear this look on a date night with my boyfriend but most likely not to class... as much as I would like too! I love the idea of using items in my closet that I already own like jeggings, thigh high boots and a vintage statement necklace. Fashion doesn't need to be expensive it just needs to be accessible. For Easter this weekend my Grandma loved my flat Bruno Frisoni thigh highs that are tan which is most similar to the look. I would wear my black boots if I wanted them to appear more like leggings. Trends are constantly coming back and Sammy from Sammy Davis Vintage told me that thigh high boots are very 90s. I usually do not wear anything 80s but the other vintage trends I love-- even if I was born in 90. Style inspiration to me is not copying it is more of a flair to my current style. I never buy anything brand new and most of the pieces in my closet are investment pieces that I can wear for years to come! This look to me is another version of Parisian chic because thigh high boots first came back on the runways in Paris! In order to make this look sophisticated it is better that the thigh high boots are suede and not leather! That is very important!

Sick Day
This weekend I have just felt so out of it... and today it turned into a fever/flu bug! Not fun! Last time my sister was home for Spring Break from her University she was sick too! We both seem to have in common watching very bad TV shows and trying to get some homework done and sleep the entire day! We ran out of Tylenol so my Mom ran and picked some up for me this morning while I was sleeping and I was so grateful. Reading blogs, resting, homework and doing other things makes me feel better but also sweet texts from my boyfriend. He is such a keeper! <3
If you ever speak to my family or my boyfriend they will tell you I am obsessed with anything French including the movie Marie Antoinette and the actual historical women. I love watching this movie on my iTunes when I am sick or need some fashion inspiration.

Much of my wardrobe influence comes from history and my love of feathers, frills, bows, light and airy clothes influenced from the eighteenth century. Below my favorite statement vintage necklace which I tie with a silver bracelet at the bottom for a better position. To wear: Wear with a t-shirt and jeans and heels or boots, a dress and sweater
Bruno Frisoni Spring 2009 boots that I have been looking for- for years! If you can find them in a 7 1/2 or 8 I would be so grateful! I will basically purchase them on the spot when I find them! The modern Marie Antoinette would wear these! They remind me of the best French chic worn with white jeans and a blue and white top it is perfection!
I'm off to nap and feel better! Be French Chic today!

Procrastinator
Today I am basically writing my full senior seminar history 30-page rough draft since I put it off forever on the Egyptian Revival of architecture and fashion in the 1900-1930s. They always say things happen under pressure right?! I am a history and a fashion geek and I am not afraid to admit it! I am who I am... My boyfriend and I always joke that he got me through Math and I got him through Ancient History Class (where we met 2 years ago)! The first time he met my family was by coming over for Easter and last year I went to Easter with his sweet family and now he is coming to my Easter again! We are both very excited!
Sammy also asked me if I store my vintage in a special place... most of my nice vintage is kept in storage-like bags hanging up plastic or fabric so it does not get stained or ripped. I have both high and low-end vintage and thats why my collection is unique. My favorite shoes sit out and the rest are in my closet. Right now I am loving my Brian Atwood and Bruno Frisoni thigh high boots really impractical but very stylish. Probably the shoe brand that fits me best is Bruno Frisoni and I went to his store in Paris and bought my first pair of expensive shoes which really upset my Grandma. We walked there any my Grandma asked everyone for directions and we looked super lost... not really the plan. I plan to wear them for my wedding someday and I've only worn them to church once. Bruno Frisoni does not design his own brand anymore either which is sad but he now is the Creative Director for Roger Vivier which is another designer brand in Paris.

Another pair of Bruno Frisoni shoes that I own... they go with EVERYTHING and can be worn a little more often!

Sneak Peak
Okay I couldn't resist... I want to give you a little taste of my vintage collection... thoughts?
From Decades vintage store in LA where Rachel Zoe shops... part of my bad spending habit that has recently been fixed. A good investment vintage fur and because its vintage that's okay. Great for layering this winter! Vintage I. Magnin fur!
My vintage YSL peasant skirt- who says you can't wear white to weddings? I wore it to two weddings last summer! Yves Saint Laurent is a genius and peasant skirts are so in right now!
Two posts in one day... so tempting not too! Au revoir!

Boot Obsession
Here are my Brian Atwood Thigh High Chain-Back Boots- I've been really embracing the trend of thigh high boots lately and my boyfriend doesn't seem to complain.
My vintage 1960s platform pumps from What Goes Around Comes Around in NYC. I love them even though they are very impractical. Thoughts?
Part of my blog will be showcasing my love of vintage and my collection, shoes and anything with fashion and travel- so stay tuned! My inspiration comes from 60s and 70s vintage and my style icons.
The idea to start a blog really came from my Aunt and also blog inspiration from my sister's blog The Fuzzy Square, also Cupcakes and Cashmere, Sammy Davis Vintage, Sea of Shoes and The Man Repeller.
